The Fegge Division of Nigerian Police, Onitsha South Local Government Area of Anambra State, have arrested over 20 people between December 24 and 27, 2015 for various alleged criminal offenses, just as it recovered all their loot...
The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Fegge Police Division, Mr. Rabiu Garba, yesterday, said, that most of the arrested suspects used the period of Christmas and Boxing Day holidays to burgle houses, whose owners had travelled, and others used the period to commit other criminal offences believing that the coast was clear.
“The suspects were arrested through surveillance, monitoring, and physical patrol. We have three cases of burglary and they were all arrested. We arrested two people that burgled Transglobe Pharmaceutical Warehouse, we have another group that burgled the house of a woman living in America,” he said.
He said he personally led his men to arrest the suspects, adding that they even arrested people outside Fegge Division of the Nigerian Police in the course of their monitoring and patrol duties, including a child trafficking syndicate now in detention and a kidnapping gang that tried their operations during Christmas celebrations.
