The first case of Lassa fever has been confirmed in Lagos. A 25-year-old student of the Ahmadu Bello University
was diagnosed of the killer fever at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba....
The patient is said to have been admitted first at a private hospital in Ojokoro area of Lagos State.
Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, who confirmed the report said the patient is responding to treatment. So far, 43 people have died from the fever including a recent death at the National Hospital Abuja.
