The Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the accident involved a Toyota Sienna car with the registeration number JJJ 407 DM, that was travelling to Abeokuta from the Sagamu-end.
According to him, seven people were travelling in the vehicle when the accident occurred.
He said: “The vehicle was on its way to Abeokuta when the accident occurred, there were three males and four females in the car but one of the female passengers died.”
In addition, he said “The remaining three males and three females were injured and they had been taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba, Abeokuta. The remains of the victim had also been deposited in the mortuary of the state General Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.”
He said one of the tyres of the car burst while on motion which led to the accident.
